This is Wick Scurry on Daufuskie Island, South Carolina. I'm here on Daufuskie and the island is preparing for Fall now, and we all adore Fall around here. Fall is a wonderful season. I'm not so sure whether or not I like it as much as spring, or if I actually like Fall a little bit more!
It's hot outside, and butterflies are flying around, and life is wonderful right now because I'm at the light house in the vineyard, where we produce scuffing ons and wine. I'm near Bloody Point Lighthouse right now.
Oh and as a reminder, I have a fantastic band playing for you all this weekend called The Woofs.
The Woofs will be performing at the Old Daufuskie Crab Co Restaurant at Freeport Marina this weekend.
If you have a boat or don't have a boat, take the ferry out of Broad Creek Marina and depart at 11:00 A.M. and return at 3:30 P.M.
The Buzzard Bar serves daiquiris, frozen daiquiris. Scrap Iron cocktails are among our offerings, as are barbecue, chicken and burgers for folks who prefer to eat faster than others.
We've extended the docks by a couple of hundred feet each, which gives us more dock area and we're planning to add another hundred.
So, that'll be an additional 300 feet of dock space at Freeport, making it simpler to get in. If you dock your boat in the fall, there is rarely an issue.
Come on out and see us here on Daufuskie Island, South Carolina. We'd be delighted to have you visit our island.
